Vision for Robotics and Image Analysis Lab

Welcome!

This is the Vision for Robotics and Image Analysis lab (VRIAlab) website. The laboratory is part of the Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Group at the CINVESTAV in Saltillo, México.

This laboratory conducts state-of-the-art research in the areas of computer vision and robotics. The research lines we address are: visual-based spatial (absolute) and topological (qualitative) localization, cognitive learning skills for navigation, active perception and human-robot interaction, visual based autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, 3D environment reconstruction for mobile robots, characterization of the 3D structure of environments using statistical and probabilistic methods, vision enhancement for industrial robots.

The VRIAlab shares its space with the Robotics Lab, these laboratories together have an area of 240m2, which houses about 20 graduate students.
